Bio

Night is my future was founded in 2019 in Austin, Texas by Conor Bell. Originally a witchhouse/wave/lo-fi project, Night is my future released a series of singles that were well received and culminated in one track being included in a mix by legendary DJ Plastician (Let's be air) and one being included in a compilation mix of local Austin artists by Feedback Collective in 2020 (The last man on earth).

The project laid dormant for several years due to the pandemic and Conor's involvement in other musical projects. Night is my future was resurrected in early 2023 and has begun releasing new material and performing live shows around Austin sometimes solo, sometimes with additional vocals by Alex Avery.

The project has has morphed over time from it's original focus of downtempo instrumental bass music to an absurdist synth pop group with experimental bass music leanings. Their latest single "Sometimes, I wish I was a phone" released in spring of 2023, perfectly encapsulates this metamorphosis.

With their first full length album in the works and a  mesmerizing live set, Night is my future is excited to bridge the gap between cutting edge bass music and off center synth pop while keeping things fresh, dark, and bizarre.
